Doha, Qatar: H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani has been re-elected as President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) for the new Olympic term (2024–2028).
The announcement was made during the 38th QOC General Assembly, held today at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha under the chairmanship of H E Sheikh Joaan. The meeting was attended by the QOC Board Members and presidents of Qatar's national sports federations and committees.
During the meeting, H E Mohammed bin Yousef Al-Mana was elected as the First Vice-President of the QOC, H E Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al-Kuwari as Second Vice-President, and H E Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buenain as Secretary General.
In his remarks, H E Sheikh Joaan expressed gratitude to the national federations and sports committees for their dedication and applauded the exceptional achievements of Qatar’s athletes and teams throughout the year.
