Sensex recovers on fag-end buying, rises 187 points

Equity benchmark Sensex rebounded 187 points on February 8 on fag-end buying in index majors RIL, Bajaj Finance and Titan amid a firm trend in global markets.
Besides, covering-up of short positions by bears supported the late recovery in stocks, helping wipe off losses, traders said.
After a see-saw session, the 30-share BSE benchmark ended 187.39 points or 0.33% higher at 57,808.58. Similarly, the NSE Nifty rose 53.15 points or 0.31% to 17,266.75.
