Secret Service apprehended an individual who climbed a fence near the White House and dropped a suspicious package, prompting an explosive ordnance disposal team response.

The suspect allegedly dropped a bag on the sidewalk adjacent to the fence line of the building, which is located adjacent to the White House. He grew up in Rhode Island and is a graduate of Elon University.
