Jean Kim said Mr. Stringer assaulted her when she was an unpaid intern on his campaign 20 years ago and warned her not to tell anyone. He denied the allegation.
A woman who said she worked as an unpaid intern on a 2001 election campaign for Scott M. Stringer, the New York City comptroller who is now running for mayor, has accused him of sexually assaulting her 20 years ago. The woman, Jean Kim, now a political lobbyist, said that Mr. Stringer, without her consent, “kissed me using his tongue, put his hand down my pants and groped me inside my underpants.” “I pulled away and tried to avoid him,” she continued. “He warned me not to tell anyone about it.” Mr. Stringer also “demanded to know why I would not have sex with him,” Ms. Kim said at a news conference on Wednesday.More Related News
