With Covid-19 cases steadily declining, schools and colleges are reopening in the following states listed below. Several states such as Delhi, UP, Chandigarh and West Bengal have already resumed physical classes for some of the classes, if not all.
Schools and colleges are reopening as per the latest Covid-19 guidelines. Almost every state has made it mandatory for students to submit a written consent from their parents or guardians to attend physical classes.
On February 2, the central government has issued school reopening guidelines and has asked UTs and states to decide the consent factor and other details as per the local situation.
As per the recent updates, schools and colleges are reopening in these states:
Rajasthan schools reopened for senior classes up to Class 12 on February 1. Now, schools are reopening for up to Class 5 from February 16 in both private and government schools in urban areas. Students need a written consent from parents to attend physical classes and they will continue to have the option of attending online classes.
Karnataka schools had been temporarily shut down due to the uniform row and Classes 9 and 10 are resuming classes from February 14, Monday. However, universities and higher education colleges are yet to take a decision on the uniform issue and no details have been finalised yet.
All students, from nursery to Class 12, along with colleges and other educational institutions reopened from February 14, Monday, for physical classes.
