Salman Butt explains why KL Rahul, not Virat Kohli, is India's ODI captain against South Africa
India Today
Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt expressed his views on the Indian selection panel's decision to hand KL Rahul the ODI captaincy, despite the availability of Virat Kohli, for the three-match series against South Africa.
After a couple of controversial months for Indian cricket, Virat Kohli and his men gave their fans something to cheer for following their historic 113-run win over South Africa in the 1st Test at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
Their first triumph at fortress Centurion allowed them to end 2021, a triumphant year for the Indian Test team, on a high. But, a day later, the announcement of India's 18-man ODI squad by chief selector Chetan Sharma stirred the pot once again.
