It was YSRCP govt. which cleared dues left by TDP regime, he says
Rubbishing the letter of TDP national President Nara Chandrababu Naidu over pending arrears to farmers, Adviser (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said it was filled with false allegations against the State government. He told reporters here on Thursday that the opposition TDP leaders had no moral right to speak on farmers’ issues, as they had left a debt of ₹960 crore towards crop procurement. “The letter written by Mr. Chandrababu Naidu about the pending arrears to farmers is a false propaganda by the TDP leaders. The Opposition has been showing false concern on farmers and the agriculture sector. It was Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy who took the initiative of clearing all the pending arrears left by Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, who should be ashamed for writing a letter saying that the farmers were paid within 48 hours of procuring the crops during the TDP rule,” said Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy. The election authorities are gearing up for the counting of votes cast in the simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, scheduled to be held on June 4. The Collectors and Election Officers of Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli and Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) districts said on May 23 (Thursday) that their teams were ready for the counting of votes.
Responding to the prolonged water scarcity, the residents of the area took to the streets in protest on Wednesday. The protest, which drew attention to their plight, stopped only after the intervention of the police. It was not until 1.30 p.m. that a 4000-litre tanker was finally delivered by BWSSB, providing relief to the water-starved residents.
