Sabrina Carpenter defends her controversial "Man's Best Friend" album cover amid criticism, explaining her artistic vision and transition to a more mature image.
"It was just, like, it's perfect. For what the album is, it's perfect for, you know, kind of what it represents." Lori Bashian is an entertainment production assistant for Fox News Digital.
"I think between me and my friends and my family and the people that I always share my music and my art with first, it was … it just wasn't even a conversation," she told CBS Mornings on Aug. 29. "It was just, like, it's perfect. For what the album is, it's perfect for, you know, kind of what it represents."
The original cover shows Carpenter kneeling in a black dress and high heels, grasping a man’s leg as he pulls her hair from above. Carpenter said her initial reaction to hearing the criticism was, "y'all need to get out more."
