South Africa head coach Mark Boucher savored his team's monumental series win over India while pointing out that people had written the Proteas off after the first Test defeat in Centurion. Boucher hailed his players for bouncing back from a 1-0 defeat to record a magnificent series win in the three-Test series.

The home side were well beaten by 113 runs in the first Test in Pretoria, but bounced back, against expectations of their young side, to win in both Johannesburg and Cape Town against the number one ranked team in the world.
