The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will pay a two-day visit to Iran from Thursday, primarily to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will represent India at the swearing-in ceremony of newly-elected Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran on Thursday. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that Mr Jaishankar will pay a two-day visit to Iran from Thursday, primarily to attend the swearing-in ceremony. "At the invitation of the government of Iran, the external affairs minister will visit Iran on August 5 and 6 to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Ayatollah Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi on August 5," the MEA said in a statement. "During his visit, the external affairs minister will call on the president and on the sidelines, will also meet other leaders," it added.More Related News
