Rockets-Suns Kevin Durant deal may become historic seven-team trade in wild twist
NY Post
Everyone apparently wants in on the Kevin Durant trade.
The Rockets’ pending acquisition of the Suns star may become a historic seven-team transaction, according to The Athletic.
The Nets, Warriors, Lakers, Hawks and Timberwolves could also be involved to facilitate the transaction, per the outlet.
If completed, it would break the record six-team deal from last summer involving Klay Thompson being sent to the Mavericks from the Warriors in a sign-and-trade deal.
Though the Rockets and Suns agreed to a deal on June 22, deals cannot be finalized until the league’s new year starts July 6.
The Rockets-Suns version of the trade involves Houston receiving Durant in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in last month’s draft, a second-round pick in the 2025 draft and four other second-round picks, per ESPN.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
