One person is in hospital with serious injuries in Sudbury after rocks thrown onto Maley Drive on Wednesday caused a motorcycle to slide into a ditch.
Police are now looking for a group of teens who were seen throwing rocks just before the crash.
Callers to 911 reported the young people were throwing rocks from a Maley Drive rock cut early in the afternoon.
"While the complaints were coming in, a motor vehicle collision was reported involving a westbound motorcycle that lost control and entered the ditch," police said in a news release.
"The investigation revealed that there were numerous rocks and small boulders on the roadway in the exact area where the (motor vehicle collision) took place and witnesses believe that the operator of the motorcycle was in fact struck with a rock causing the collision."
The driver "received significant injuries" and was taken to Health Sciences North for treatment.
"The youths responsible for throwing the rocks have not been identified," police said.
