Robert Horry has come to Phil Jackson’s defense after Scottie Pippen accused his former Bulls coach of being racist.
“I’ve played for Phil. I don’t think Phil is racist,” Horry said Wednesday on his “Big Shot Bob Pod” podcast. “He’s said some stuff before that kind of, I had to check him on it. For me, I don’t think he’s racist.” Horry, a seven-time NBA champion, played four seasons under Jackson from 1999-2003 before he joined the Spurs.
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
