A group of residents, including locals, protested against Friday prayers being offered in the open space at Gurugram's Sector 47 for the fourth consecutive week. Police were compelled to shift the prayer site by 100 metres from its original spot on Friday, reported the Times of India (TOI).
The residents showed up with placards and raised slogans and sang bhajans to protest against the namaz being offered. The prayers were offered amid heavy police presence in the area. Around 70-80 people tried to march towards the site and raised slogans, following which the police created a security cordon and stopped them.
