Does this impact your thinking as you order a soldier to move forward against a machine gun? Will you select a soldier of a different race because you have White guilt? I can’t think of anything more dangerous to unit cohesion and moral than to think your fellow soldier of color’s advancement contributes to your White rage. As a Green Beret who served in combat while deployed in Afghanistan, I know what it’s like to command a unit comprised of different ethnicities.
