Regina man showcases local bead supply business

Jeramy Hannah recently began selling beading supplies, after he realized the beaders in his life were struggling with a lack of local vendors, prompting him to create a business called Bead Bro.

Jeramy Hannah recently began selling beading supplies, after he realized the beaders in his life were struggling with a lack of local vendors, prompting him to create a business called Bead Bro.

"My cousin is, is an excellent artist, and she was saying that there is a lack of a good bead store in town. So, I decided to start selling beads, and I started buying them in bulk...once I started my Facebook page, people started responding pretty well,” he explained.

Since then, Hannah has seen a lot of interest from artists around Regina. Most recently, he hosted a pop-up shot inside Star Cast Anime, located within the Value Village Mall. Star Cast Anime occasionally hosts local vendors and artists, which is something Hannah is grateful for.

"A lot of craft shows can be quite expensive, and this sort of venue makes it much easier to soak the cost. And they've been super nice to me here and hopefully, I get to come back sometime soon,” he said.

While the business owner himself is not an avid beader, he does enjoy keeping up with the projects his customers work on. Bead Bro is a project which was born out of a need Hannah saw amongst his artist friends.

"People are super friendly, and they're always telling me about what they're doing, what they need and stuff like that. So it helps out for me deciding what to stock on, stock up on next. And, I like people sending me their projects... there's some amazing artists in the city, and being able to supply them with what they need is perfect,” he said.
