
Rangers scout Yankees prospects in potential Joey Gallo trade clue

Ten days before the trade deadline, and with Rangers slugger Joey Gallo a potential option for the Yankees, one of Texas’ top scouts saw some intriguing Yankees prospects at High-A Hudson Valley on Tuesday, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported.
Shortstop Anthony Volpe, the Yankees’ No. 11 prospect per MLB.com, and second baseman Ezequiel Duran (No. 15) combined for six hits.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
