India limited overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma welcomed Rahul Dravid back to the Indian dressing room after the former skipper was announced as the team's new head coach. Dravid will take over in the role after the ongoing T20 World Cup.
India's limited overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma congratulated former skipper Rahul Dravid for returning to the team as head coach of the side. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced that Dravid will replace Ravi Shastri after the tournament and his first assignment will be to coach India in their upcoming home series against New Zealand.
"Is it official? We were playing the game, I had no idea," said Rohit after India's 66-run win over Afghanistan on Wednesday. India recorded their first win of the tournament on Wednesday with Rohit starring with a 47-ball 74.
