Doha: The Quranic Botanic Garden (QBG), the first garden in the world to exhibit all plant species mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, Hadith, and Sunnah, was paid a special visit by H E Foday Malang, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Qatar, recently.
Ambassador Foday Malang personally delivered 10 seedlings of his country’s national tree, gmelina arborea, exclusively brought in from the Republic of Gambia to be planted at QBG in an upcoming event that forms part of QBG’s Ghars campaign. The seedlings are currently being stored at QBG’s conservation center in preparation for the ceremony, and they will be planted by his wife, Madame Ambassador S. W. Ndow, at QBG’s African Women’s Diplomatic Garden. Currently, the garden incorporates a variety of trees from 10 African countries.More Related News
