Quebec Premier Francois Legault said Monday that the vaccination passports currently in use in Quebec may soon no longer be necessary.
If hospitalizations continue to decline and the epidemiological situation continues to improve, Premier Francois Legault said proof of vaccination passports may end.
"We will discuss that tonight and the plan of (Health Minister) Christian (Dube) is to get rid of the pass as soon as we get the okay from the public health," said Legault.
Quebec eased more restrictions over the weekend and plans to eliminate almost all of them by March 14, and Legault said with the two trends in motion, he is not concerned that major protests will continue in the province.
"There's less and less reason to protest because we're getting back to a normal life more and more," he said.
