Quebec public health officials to provide update on COVID-19 situation

Quebec's public health officials will address the province on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in the province a day after the premier hinted that vaccination passports may come to an end.
Quebec Health Minister Christian Dubé will speak alongside acting director of public health, Dr. Luc Boileau.
The province reported a spike in deaths due to COVID-19 on Tuesday with 56 deaths, along with 1,973 more infections
Hospitalizations, however, continued to drop with 43 fewer patients receiving care in Quebec hospitals on Tuesday compared to 24 hours ago, for a total of 2,052. Intensive care numbers also dropped by four for a total of 132.
Premier François Legault said on Monday that he is trying to heal divisions and with more stable numbers, the vaccination passport may soon no longer be needed.
