Doha: The Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) has announced that it is working on Media Encyclopedia, a pioneering initiative aimed at documenting key media theories and concepts within a structured, scientific framework.
The project is envisioned as a foundational academic reference for media professionals, researchers, and institutions across the Arab world.
Mohammed Sulaan Al-Marri, the project lead, explained the strategic rationale behind the encyclopedia.
“This initiative stems from a deep commitment to knowledge empowerment in the Arab media field. There is a clear need for an accurate, comprehensive scientific reference, and this encyclopedia seeks to fill that gap,” said Al-Marri speaking in a Qatar TV programme yesterday.
He emphasised that the encyclopedia was developed with a robust plan based on academic research and methodological rigor, ensuring credibility and relevance.
