Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Defense announced that Qatari Armed Forces fighter jets, along with its air defense systems, successfully intercepted aerial attacks involving drones and missiles launched by Iran towards the country's airspace.
The Ministry explained in a statement that early warning and monitoring systems detected the targets immediately upon entering the surveillance range. They were tracked and intercepted according to established rules of engagement, ensuring the protection of national sovereignty and airspace integrity.
The Ministry confirmed that the interception operations were conducted within an integrated air defense system and with the full readiness of the Armed Forces, without any casualties. Specialized teams have begun completing precautionary assessment and monitoring procedures.
The Ministry emphasized that the State of Qatar continues to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and airspace, while monitoring developments through official channels.
