Doha: The State of Qatar welcomed the negotiations between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, being held in Muscat, expressing its hope that they will lead to a comprehensive agreement that serves the interests of both parties and enhances security and stability in the region.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's full appreciation to the Sultanate of Oman for hosting and facilitating the negotiations, and for its commendable efforts, along with a number of other brotherly and friendly countries, to defuse the crisis and promote constructive dialogue to address all outstanding issues.

The Ministry also reiterated Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at reducing tensions, resolving conflicts through diplomatic channels, and consolidating the foundations of regional peace and stability.
