Qatar Vaccination Centre to close after administering more than 1.6 million vaccines

The ministry said in a statement that, since the start of the National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, the centre has administered more than 1.6 million doses of vaccine to the target groups.
The Ministry of Public Health announced that starting today, the Qatar Vaccination Centre for Business and Industry will be closed permanently, after the centre succeeded in playing its role in providing Covid-19 vaccines to workers in the business and industry sectors in the State of Qatar.
The ministry said in a statement that, since the start of the National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, the centre has administered more than 1.6 million doses of vaccine to the target groups.
Senior Consultant Emergency Medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation and lead for the Qatar Vaccination Centre for Business and Industry Sector Dr Khalid Abdulnoor said his team were proud of the key role the facility played in vaccinating Qatar’s population.
"This Centre played a pivotal role in supporting the safe roll-out of Qatars phased plan to lift Covid-19 restrictions by ensuring that service workers had access to the vaccine and were protected," he said.
