Qatar to mark Earth Hour tonight with a pledge to protect environment

Joining millions of people and companies around the globe, Qatari residents and institutions are set to observe Earth Hour, a global initiative to spread awareness about environment protection and climate change, tonight.
Almost all government and private institutions and companies including ministries, malls, hotels, offices as well as individuals will observe the event by switching off the lights of the buildings, houses for an hour from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. “As part of the Qatar International Environmental Exhibition 2021, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment invites you to switch off unnecessary lights and electronic equipment 8.30pm - 9.30pm on Saturday March 27 in celebration of #EarthHour,” the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said in a tweet. Kahramaa also posted a motion graphic with slogan “Disconnect to Reconnect” on its Twitter handle to encourage people to mark Earth Hour.More Related News
