Doha, Qatar: Qatar Sustainability Week (QSW) 2025, the country’s largest community-focused initiative, will celebrate its 10th edition from November 1 to 8, reaffirming its role as a national platform for environmental action and awareness.
Led by the Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future, a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), and organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC), the annual event aims to engage Qatar’s community, government, NGOs, and private sector in a week-long series of activities, events, and projects focused on sustainability.
Since its launch in 2016, Qatar Sustainability Week has grown steadily in scope and participation, attracting increasing involvement from individuals, institutions, and organisations each year. The 2025 edition is expected to build on this success by providing more opportunities for residents to take part in meaningful environmental action.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the launch of QSW 2025, Executive Director of Earthna, Dr. Gonzalo Castro de la Mata, highlighted the evolution of the initiative.
“Over the past decade, Qatar Sustainability Week has become the country’s largest community platform. What began as a simple awareness campaign has now evolved into a nationwide movement,” he said.
