Doha, Qatar: As part of its commitment towards instilling a legal culture and regulatory compliance among clubs, the Qatar Stars League (QSL) is holding a two-day seminar on Football Law which got underway yesterday.
Organised by the Legal Affairs Department of QSL, the seminar was attended by a number of prominent sports law specialists and representatives of FIFA.
The event witnessed the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Qatar Olympic Committee, Qatar Football Association, First and Second Division clubs, Qatar Sports Arbitration Foundation, Qatar Players Association and several local law firms.
The seminar, held annually, aims to highlight the most prominent legal and regulatory challenges facing Qatari clubs, while offering practical solutions and guiding frameworks compatible with international regulations. This is within a renewed context that keeps pace with developments in the transfer market, club governance and digital transformation of the sports system.
QSL CEO Hani Taleb Ballan emphasised the importance of empowering club legal cadres and enhancing their ability to interact with international changes in the world of football. He stressed that “promoting the legal environment is a fundamental pillar in building an integrated and sustainable professional system.”
