Paris: The Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) unanimously elected HE Dr. Nasser bin Hamad Al Hinzab, the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to UNESCO, as Chairperson of the Executive Board during its 223rd session, held at the Organization's headquarters in Paris.
The election of HE Al Hinzab to this prestigious position reflects the deep confidence and high international standing enjoyed by the State of Qatar within multilateral international organizations, particularly in UNESCO's areas of work.
It also underscores Qatar's active role in supporting education, culture, and science, and in promoting the values of peace and dialogue among peoples.
