Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Qatar Rehabilitation Institute (QRI) has been awarded international accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), marking a ground-breaking achievement with QRI becoming the first HMC facility to achieve this prestigious rehabilitation accreditation.
CARF accreditation is recognized globally as the gold standard in rehabilitation care, awarded only to institutions that demonstrate the highest levels of clinical quality, safety, and operational excellence. QRI received the maximum three-year accreditation on its first attempt - an exceptional and rare accomplishment that reflects QRI’s excellence in care delivery.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of HMC, said: “CARF accreditation is a landmark achievement for HMC and a proud moment for Qatar. It confirms that the people of Qatar have access to world-class rehabilitation services, delivered by dedicated professionals in a facility that meets the highest global standards. This milestone reflects our commitment to providing the very best care for our population.”
This medical achievement supports HMC’s strategy to achieve excellence in delivering medical services and enhancing patient experience. It also seamlessly aligns with Qatar's Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030, under which HMC is committed to adopting the latest medical technologies and providing advanced healthcare that significantly improves the lives of patients.
