The first high-level strategic dialogue between the State of Qatar and the UNHCR was held on May 14, with the participation of a high-level delegation from UNHCR, headed by HE UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi. It addressed ways to strengthen the existing partnership between the State of Qatar and UNHCR, and reviewed future areas of cooperation in line with the priorities of both sides in the field of humanitarian aid and mechanisms for allocating and distributing it to serve refugees around the world. An agreement was also signed to support UNHCR's core resources for the period 2025-2026, with funding from the QFFD.
