Qatar Airways CEO affirms keenness on reducing emissions at Qatar Economic Forum

Doha - Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive HE Akbar Al Baker underlined the keenness of Qatar Airways on reducing emissions by enhancing the fleet with highly fuel-efficient aircraft.
Speaking at Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg, HE Al Baker said that Qatar Airways is interested in reducing emissions and is keen that its planes are highly fuel efficient, however, this depends on the engine and aircraft factories, and most importantly the oil companies. HE Al Baker touched on the reality of the global travel market in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the difficulties faced by the aviation sector, stressing the importance of controlling the pandemic through vaccinations so that conditions return to norm.
