Qatar Airways has carried more than 380,000 seafarers and offshore workers since April last year, the airline has said. "During the pandemic to keep the maritime industry moving, we've safely carried more than 380,000 seafarers and offshore workers since April 2020," Qatar Airways tweeted on the occasion of Day of the Seafarer, observed on June 25 each year. The Mariner Lounge, which the airline had opened at Hamad International Airport to enable seafarers and offshore worker passengers to relax and enjoy refreshments while waiting for their onward flight, reached a milestone on Day of the Seafarer, welcoming its 50,000th guest since opening in late-2020.
