Punjab govt moves SC against Centre's decision to extend BSF jurisdiction

The Punjab government has moved the Supreme Court against the Centre's decision to extend the BSF jurisdiction.

The Punjab government has approached the Supreme Court challenging the central government's decision to extend the jurisdiction of the Border Security Force (BSF) to a 50 km belt along the international border in Punjab, West Bengal and Assam.

The suit was listed on Friday before the Registrar, who issued a notice to the Centre through the Attorney General.
