Yair Lapid will become the first Israeli minister in history to officially visit the United Arab Emirates when he arrives in the country on Tuesday to inaugurate Israel’s embassy in Abu Dhabi and consulate in Dubai. Israel’s newly installed foreign minister will be hosted by his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The countries’ top two diplomats are expected to discuss a range of bilateral issues over the two-day visit, including economic cooperation, trade and security. “The inauguration is a symbolic act,” foreign ministry spokesperson Lior Haiat told Al Jazeera. “The embassy and consulate have already been working for four and a half months.”More Related News
