The forum is considered a strategic platform aimed at enhancing collaboration between government entities and local companies, while providing an enabling environment for economic growth and technological development within the procurement sector.
The Ministry of Finance represented by the Government Procurement Regulatory Department in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Qatar Chamber announced yesterday during a press conference the launch of the Government Procurement Plan Forum 2026 to be held from October 20 to 22 under the slogan: ‘One Vision, Multiple Opportunities’ .
Addressing the event, Director of the Government Procurement Regulation Department at the Ministry of Finance, Nayef Al-Hababi, pointed out six themes that the forum will focus in its third edition: the government procurement plan for 2026, enhancing local value, supporting national companies and factories, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises, modernising the classification system for materials and economic activities, and ensuring fairness in resolving disputes related to government tenders and contracts.
Al-Hababi noted that the Government Procurement Plan Forum 2026 represents a platform for providing opportunities, stimulating innovation, and establishing the principles of transparency and fairness, ensuring sustainable economic growth and promoting equal opportunities among companies.
