Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received Tuesday a phone call from Secretary of State of the friendly United States of America HE Antony Blinken.
The two sides discussed the close strategic relations between the two countries and ways to boost them and the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The deliberations also addressed the latest developments in Syria and other topics of common interest.
During the call, they stressed the need to ensure the unity of Syria, work towards a peaceful power transfer through an inclusive political process based on Security Council Resolution 2254, and to enhance efforts to protect civilians and combat terrorism.
