Istanbul: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, met today with HE Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the sidelines of the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, currently being held in Istanbul, in the sisterly Republic of Turkiye.

During the meeting, the latest developments in the region were discussed, especially the continued Israeli aggression against the territories of the sisterly Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated, during the meeting, the State of Qatar's strong condemnation and extreme denunciation of the Israeli aggression against Iranian territories, considering it a flagrant violation of Iran's sovereignty and security, and a clear breach of the rules and principles of international law.

He also stressed the necessity of consolidating regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions and resolve disputes through diplomatic means, affirming that the State of Qatar is exerting diligent efforts with its partners to return to the path of dialogue among all parties to address outstanding issues and consolidate security and peace in the region and the world.
