
President Buhari's son marries royal bride in glitzy and glamorous ceremony

Yusuf Buhari, son of Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari, and Zahra Bayero, the daughter of a prominent monarch in northwestern Kano State, were married over the weekend in a lavish ceremony that hosted some of the country's most powerful political elites.
The nuptials, spanning over two days, commenced Friday amid tight security at the palace of the Emir of Bichi, the bride's father, with thousands of well-wishers in attendance.
Before the stealth bombers streaked through the Middle Eastern night, or the missiles rained down on suspected terrorists in Africa, or commandos snatched a South American president from his bedroom, or the icy slopes of Greenland braced for the threat of invasion, there was an idea at the White House.
