Masba Gupta took to Instagram to share an excerpt from Neena Gupta's book, Sach Kahun Toh. The excerpt talked about Neena Gupta's pregnancy and how she did not have Rs 10,000 for a C-section.

Fashion designer Masaba Gupta shared an excerpt from her mother’s autobiography Sach Kahun Toh on Instagram on Wednesday (May 26). It talked about Neena Gupta’s pregnancy and the financial crisis she was going through at that time. Masaba Gupta shared pictures of the excerpts and also a cover of Sach Kahun Toh. In the excerpt, Neena Gupta talked about the time she was about to deliver her daughter, Masaba, and how she did not have enough money to get a C-section done. Masaba captioned the post, “An excerpt from ‘Sach Kahun Toh’ by @neena_gupta: When I was born, my mum had Rs 2000/- in her bank account. A timely tax reimbursement would bump that number up to Rs 12,000/- and ofcourse I was a C-section baby. As I read mom’s biography, I learn so many things & the hardships she has had to endure. I work very hard every single day of my life and never ever let anyone not give me what I deserve only to make sure I can pay her back for bringing me into this world...with interest! #sachkahuntoh #neenagupta (sic).”
