Pramod Sawant to remain BJP's CM face in 2022 Goa polls, Pegasus row baseless: JP Nadda

BJP president JP Nadda lauded Pramod Sawant and said that he will remain the party's CM face in the 2022 Goa Assembly polls. The BJP chief also dismissed the Pegasus issue as "baseless".

BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday heaped praise on Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and said that he would be the party's CM candidate in the next year's Legislative Assembly Election. The BJP chief also dismissed the Pegasus spyware issue as "baseless". JP Nadda is currently on a two-day visit to Goa. Earlier in the day, he offered prayers at the temple of Lord Manguesh near Panaji on Sunday. He was accompanied by Pramod Sawant, state BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanavade and Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude.
