The Powerball jackpot has jumped to $238 million, with a $112 million cash option, ahead of Saturday night's drawing.
According to lottery officials, the jackpot has been won nearly 200 times since the game began in 1992. Today, 48 U.S. lotteries participate in the Powerball game, with five states not offering it: Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah.
Out of the participating lotteries, the five states with the most Powerball jackpot winners include Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
