Population of Qatar exceeds 3 million

The population of Qatar jumped at the end of October 2022 by 13.6 percent year-on-year to reach 3,020,080 people, while it increased by 1.2 percent compared to September 2022. The Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) issued the preliminary monthly figures for the population as it was on Oct. 31, 2022, indicating that this data represents the number of individuals of all ages (Qatari - non-Qatari) within the borders of the State of Qatar, and does not include Qataris outside the borders of the state, non-Qataris and those who have residency but were outside the borders of the state at the time of preparing the statement on Oct. 31, 2022.
