Political handicapper shifts Montana Senate to ‘leans Republican’ as Tester falls behind
Fox News
Republicans now have the advantage in Montana's Senate race, according to one political handicapper, as Democrat incumbent Sen. Jon Tester slips behind in polling.
Julia Johnson is a politics writer for Fox News Digital and Fox Business, leading coverage of the U.S. Senate. She was previously a politics reporter at the Washington Examiner.
The rating change followed the Thursday release of a new AARP poll showing Sheehy with a six-point 51%-45% advantage over Tester in a two-way race. In an expanded field, Sheehy still defeated Tester 49%-41%. Follow Julia's reporting on X at @JuliaaJohnson_ and send tips to Julia.Johnson@fox.com.
