The BBC reported the arrested woman was the party's former leader, Nicola Sturgeon, who unexpectedly quit earlier this year.
Sturgeon's husband Peter Murrell was arrested and questioned in connection with the investigation in April, before being released pending further investigation more than 11 hours later.
