DOHA: Pakistan International School, Qatar (PISQ) hosted its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony 2025 at Arbab Hall on Thursday evening, honouring outstanding academic achievers across all wings of the school.
The event was attended by parents, teachers, students, members of the Board of Governors, and distinguished guests.
The school had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Shehzad Anjum as the Chief Guest. Dr. Anjum, a proud alumnus of PISQ, is currently serving at Hamad Medical Corporation as Senior Consultant in the Emergency Department, Vice Chair of Education, and Residency Program Director, in addition to holding faculty positions at Qatar University and Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar. The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Amanullah Khan, an ex-teacher of PISQ, who attended as a Special Guest.
A charming welcome performance by the Kindergarten wing set the tone for the evening, after which medals and certificates were awarded to high achievers from the KG, Primary, Girls, Boys, Cambridge, and Evening wings. The achievements of International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest (IKMC) gold medalists were also recognized, along with certificates of appreciation for invigilators.
Adding to the cultural richness of the program, middle school students presented a thought-provoking mime on water conservation, highlighting environmental challenges faced by Pakistan. A documentary showcasing the school’s progress and milestones further underlined PISQ’s commitment to excellence.
