Fox News
Remains found in a cave along the Appalachian Trail nearly 50 years ago in Pennsylvania have been identified as then-27-year-old Nicolas Paul Grubb.
"For 47 years, this man remained unidentified, a nameless figure in a long-forgotten case," Fielding said. "But today, I am honored to announce that through the unyielding determination of federal, state, and local agencies, the Berks County Coroner's Office has confirmed the identity of this individual. His name is Nicolas Paul Grubb, a 27-year-old man from Fort Washington, Pennsylvania." Greg Wehner is a breaking news reporter for Fox News Digital.
FOX 29 in Philadelphia reported that investigators believe Grubb took his own life, adding it was determined he overdosed on Phenobarbital and Pentobarbital. Story tips and can be sent to Greg.Wehner@Fox.com and on Twitter @GregWehner.
