Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas on Saturday moved the Supreme Court seeking a court-monitored probe by a Special Investigation Team into the reports of surveillance of activists, journalists and politicians using the Pegasus spyware. In his writ petition filed before the apex court, CPI(M) leader John Brittas claimed the government has been evasive on the Pegasus issue and has not given a clear response on whether any snooping was authorised by it.
