Payal Kapadia has won the best documentary award for her film, A Night of Knowing Nothing, in Cannes.

A Night of Knowing Nothing, directed by Payal Kapadia, has won the Oeil d’or (Golden Eye) award for best documentary at the 74th Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (July 17). The Oeil d’Or, the award for best documentary presented at the Cannes Film Festival all sections combined, goes to A NIGHT OF KNOWING NOTHING by Payal Kapadia, a film selected at the Directors’ Fortnight. A Night of Knowing Nothing screened as part of the Directors’ Fortnight, a section that runs parallel to the festival.
