Parliamentary Panel questions Facebook on whistleblower allegations, hate speech control mechanism in India

The panel summoned the representatives of Facebook on Monday, and, while Facebook India's Police and Legal head had appeared before the committee, sources say they are all set to be called again for further information.

Parliamentary Standing Committee of Information and Technology today asked Facebook representatives about whistleblower Sophie Zhang and the allegations made by her in the form of a submission to the Committee. Facebook was further asked about its mechanism to control hate speech.
